Assignment 12: Essential Question

How can the future of pharmaceutical sciences modify the future of medicine, and how can future practitioners, like myself, help reach the goal?

Why did you select this as your essential question?

I selected this as my essential question for many reasons. The future of medicine directly affects every living human by providing cures and treatments to diseases. Likewise, my desire to help others allows me to contribute to the end of terminal illnesses. Through constant research and testing, the future of medicine is placed in the hands of the next generation, like myself. Future drug scientists have the ability to study the diseases more in depth through access to better technology, which allows for more in depth research and ability to find beneficial medicines. Therefore, future drug developers are able to help society greatly.

What excites you most about finding the answer to this essential question?

Honestly, the research that I have to do excites me the most. Learning about medications and their development interests me. Therefore, through the course of discovering the answers to my essential question, I am able to learn about medicines, the effects they have, and how they are developed. All of these are key to answering my essential question. Likewise, I am able to learn how the future of medicine is in the hand of future practicioners, and how future practicioners continuously develop cures and research the diseases.

Do you feel that this question accurately reflects a desire/need that you have to find out more about this topic?

My essential question embodies everything that I wish to learn about medicines and diseases and how they affect each other. I want to be able to discover how medicines destroy sickness and how sicknesses enhance medication. Through research, I am going to discover all of the answers that I desire and discover the process of medicine.
